The recent State of the Nation Address by President Ramaphosa was well received with a number of people congratulating him on his focus on introduction of technology into the classrooms. While these are positive developments, their still remains a glaring shortfall of women involved in the fields of science and technology.
Ndoni Mcunu is a PhD Candidate at the University of the Witwatersrand’s Global Change Institute and the Founder & CEO of Black Women in Science (BWIS), a registered non-profit organization which aims to deliver capacity development interventions that target young black women scientists and researchers.
