As a network, we are regularly approached for funding by entrepreneurs who have big ideas and dreams. A recurring theme around these applications is that the entrepreneurs give very little thought to the team they require to execute their plans.
Many of the applications come from individuals who say they will use the funding to hire the right people or people who believe that they will be the single driving force for these business ventures. The reality is somewhat different and the sooner that entrepreneurs realise that they will be more effective playing to their strengths, the greater opportunity the business has of surviving.
