We have previously mentioned that JSE-listed technology group Cognition Holdings has done an interesting deal by taking ownership of online property platform Private Property, from majority shareholder Caxton.
Private Property has today announced that it has acquired The Property Buyer Show from UK conferencing group Spintelligent.
The Show began in 2017 and its five events have attracted over 15,000 visitors since inception . The 6th Property Buyer Show will be held on 6-7 April 2019 at the CTICC and looks to be well supported by the industry. This could be a nice asset for Private Property to continue to leverage.
Cognition Holdings continues to be a fairly illiquid counter on the JSE with an average 30 day volume of just 13 400 shares. The share trades on an historic price to earnings multiple of 7 and offers an historic dividend yield of around 9% – this might drop though after the cash outlay for the Private Property transaction.
